Well done to David Thomas who was picked for the Senior Men's England 'A' Squad. Willie Thomas 2 x World Champion and EKF National Head Coach for Karate picked David for the Men's 'A' Squad for -84kg division.

FSK's David Thomas wins Bronze for Birmingham University! Well done after coming through rounds to win bronze in the mens team eventas Team Captain. He lost in the Men's Heavyweight semi- finals to Ishinryu Chris Kwanski.

Wasquel Karate International, January 2014

No medals for FSK's David Thomas, a good first outing for the year even though Global event and only second at this level! But good expereince for them fighting alongside many of the U21, Women's and Men's England team though.

Austrian Senior Open, Salzburg - 2nd rd lose for FSK's David Thomas

David was up in Yorkshire the previous weekend in figth off's for the European U21 Karate Championships where he recorder a win, draw and lose.

On the weekend of the 30th November 2013 he got a bye an then lose to Bosnia and Montonegro in the 2nd rd. The Karate K1 Professional League brings the best Karate fighers in the world together so a good expereince and first outing for David. He is fighting in France on January 19th 2014.

Frontier Karate Association Open Training - November 30th 2013

Open training for all members of Team FKA and open to all members of FKA Association.

The session saw new FSK and FKC students training alongside the squad with Sensei Anthoni Everitt.

GOLD for FSK's Maxine barker at Yamaguchi Goju Kai Invitational, Grays - ESSEX - 24th Novmber 2013

Maxine Barker of Crowborough won the Under 18 Openweigth division in Essex. Winning the final 8-1.

Well done to her after training in Barnsley, Yoriskshire with the England Karate Team on the Saturday along with fellow Team FSK Fighter and squad member David Thomas.

David Thomas of FSK and Tom Gibbings of Forza Karate will be competing for Frontier Karate Association at the Wasquehal International Open in France on 19th January 2014.

Association coaches Paul Simmons and Anthoni Everitt of Essex will be taking two fighters for this historic senior championships. The event is one of the most important European events for the men and women especially in world championship year.

David Thomas (England A Squad) and Tom Gibbings former England International and European Medallist will be fighting in the Men's -78kg and +78kg divisions.

DAVID THOMAS FIGHTING IN PREMIER K1 Karate Grand Finale - Austrian Open, Salzburg 30th November 2013

FSk's David Thomas will be fighting in the men's -84kg division in the final Premier K1 event of the year where the World League winner will be announced.

Fighting at the very top level of World Karate this is the last chance for a World ranking for 2013.

We wish him all the best. The event is the Austrian Open in Salzburg.

FSK's David Thomas and Maxine Barker Selected for Southern England Karate Team for English Karate Federation's National Regional Individual Championships, Sunday 15th September 2013

David Thomas has been selected in the Men's -78kg division and Maxine Barker in the Female +68kg U18 division.

They will be fighting at the Brighton International Conference Centre against Midland and Northern England.

We are expecting a packed arena with it being co-hosted by the Japan International Festival.

World Karate Champion Coming to FSK to teach first UK Seminar

2x World Middleweight and Former Light Heavyweight World Champion will be at Heathfield to teach students of Frontier School of Karate and Frontier Karate Association. Arguable in the top two pound for pound best fighters in the World at the moment. The Professional Karate Fighter will be coming to teach for four hours at the FSK Training Centre.

EKF England Open, U21 and Senior Squad Training, Oaklands Sports Academy, St.Albans - 26th May 2013

Sensei Paul Simmons was on the coaching staff for the England Karate Training and assisting National Coach 2 x World Champion, Willie Thomas and World Champion Paul Newby.

FSK's David Thomas was also training as part of the England A Squad.

A long day with fitness testing in morning and strategic and technical training in the afternoon. A great day and great facilities at the 2 million pound centre which is also the home of scarcens rugby team.

Sensei Paul will be part of the England congregation to the German Open to coach all England fighters from Southern England in the fifth in the 2012 World Series with the World's best fighters. A important date for all England fighters as this will make up the final selection for the squad for the WKF World Karate Championships, Paris - November 2012.

Sensei Paul Simmons Assists on English Karate Federation England Karate Training, Luton - Sunday 12th August

An early start for all England Team members. 60 'A' Squad members completed fitness testing for 4 hours followed by a two hour training session.

Willie Thomas (National Coach), Paul Newby (Assistant National Coach) and Paul Simmons (Head Coach Southern England). Sensei Paul took Under 18's through a technical training session while the seniors finished fitness testing. The seniors then completed training with technical and line up fighting. The session is two months before the World Championships in Paris.

Many England fighters will be attending the Karate K1 Premier League German Open in Frankfurt to decide their places.

Not a great day on the mat for FKA, Paul Ellis lost on warnings and early exits for David Thomas and Tom lewis in the U18 Heavyweights.

SILVER AND BRONZE FOR FKA at EKF English National Karate Championships, Ponds Forge, Sheffield April 22nd April 2012

FSK's Maxine Barker won silver in the girls U16 Heavyweight divisiion. Winning through the rounds to lose to an English International and No.1 girl in the country.

A great achievement to make a final at the English Championships.

David Thomas won a Bronze in the English Champiosnhips U18 Heavyweight division and Paul Ellis was disqualified in the Men's heavyweight after leading 2-1.

A good day for the FKA Team.

Team FSK to English Karate Federations National Championships

FSK's Paul Ellis and David Thomas selected for 2012 European Karate Federation Regional Championships, Moscow Russia 8th -10th June 2012. (March 2012)

Paul is selected for the Men's Team and David for the U18 Team. The two will join the best fighters across London, South-east and South-west England.

FSK's David Thomas picked for 2012 England Under 18 Karate Squad following National Trials March 2012 at Milton Keynes.

SENSEI PAUL SIMMONS NEW EKF SOUTHERN REGIONAL HEAD COACH - January 2012

Sensei Paul is the new Head Coach for the Southern Region. The third regional squad training took place at Tolworth on Sunday 5th February in snowy conditions.

A 4 hour session saw England fighters and new fighters to the mix from across the South from Bristol to East London.

New athletes were picked for the National Trials in Milton Keynes at the end of the month. Also, a look for the teams competing for the region at SENI 3 on 3 match at London Excel on June 2nd and 3rd 2012.

Aswell as consideration for the team fighting in Moscow, Russia on the 9th and 10th June 2012.

EKF European U21 Karate Championships Final Selections - Birmingham 13th Nov 2011

David Thomas just lost out on the individual spot for the Heavyweight U18. With 2 wins, 1 draw and a lose to the winner he competed well and was a improvement on his World Championship selection.

FSK's David Thomas won a Silver in the U18 years Kumite Heavyweight section losing 11-10 in the last second. Tom Lewis won a Bronxe in the same section.

Tom Lewis competing in the U18 Heavyweight division won his first two bouts and then won through to the repercharge final to lose for Bronze by one point. It was Tom's first National Championships so a great result.

Sensei Paul Simmons is selected for Southern Regional Karate Coach by the governing body – English Karate Federation

Chief Instructor, Sensei Paul Simmons has been selected to once again become a Regional coach for South-west, South-east and London under the governing body.

Sensei Paul was selected by Sensei Willie Thomas (2x World Karate Champion) and the board of the EKF.

Sensei Paul was a Regional coach when it last existed from 2004 to 2008 with a highly successful team coaching alongside the Sensei Tyrone Whyte and Molly Samuels.

Sensei Paul’s first event will be the European Regional Championships in Turkey, June 2011.

All FKA members will be expected to attend regional sessions to try and compete for the Southern region both Nationally and Internationally. Unless on National duty.

Bronze Medal - UK OPEN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS - Stourbridge, Birmingham (Feb 20th 2011)

FSK's David Thomas made the journey to Birmingham to compete in the UK Open. After reaching the Quarter Finals he came up against Scottish National Team Member and was winning by 2 points with 5 seconds to go. He then was hit with a 3 point kick and could no get back and lost. The Scottish International went on to take gold but David came back through the repercharge and won Bronze.

Well done to David Thomas with a Bronze in the 14-15 year Open weight division.

FKA and FSK have been invited to participate in 2011 British Karate Team League

Along with top Karate Associations WKU, Kaizien Central, EKKA and Higashi. The FKA have been invited to join the league for 2011. The league takes place over one year with five events.

FSK's David Thomas is selected for England 'A' Squad - September 5th 2010

David thomas was selected by Wayne Otto OBE (National Coach) for 14-15 years Heavyweight category. After winning through open selections David Thomas makes up the two slots for this section from the best figthers in that age group from England. The session was in Barnsby, Yorkshire.

The Final selection from the A squad for the European U21 Championships will be in Dagenham, East london. The top individual from each section will represent the England Team.

Tony Flint and Ben Humphreys both won bronze in the Men's open weight on Sunday 30th May at the London International open at Seni at London Excel. they both won through to the semi-finals to finish third!

FSK’s David Thomas wins Bronze at the English National Karate Championships

David Thomas of FSK wins Bronze at the English Karate Federation National Karate Championships held at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield last weekend.

David Thomas fought in the heavyweight 14-15 year old division against the very best competitors in the country. With over 500 competitors over two days David Thomas who is coached by Paul Simmons and trains at FSK centre’s at Heathfield and Crowborough came through to lose to the eventual winner and take the Bronze medal.

A month after finishing third at the Regional Championships in Stourbridge, Birmingham. David came through a close quarter final fight and beat the current England Champion at -75kg.

Paul Ellis fought through to the Men's Heavyweight (+84kg) Quarter Finals but after winning his second round contest he endured a cracked rib and was unable to fight his Q-Final match.

Perry Dee and David Thomas win Bronze in Light Weight Men's and 14-15 year old Heavyweight division EKF Regionals, Stourbridge

Perry Dee won bronze in the lighweight division and David Thomas lost to the eventual winner at the EKF National Regional Karate Championships at Stourbridge on Sunday 21st March 2010.

Perry Dee Competing for FKA and FSK at the Dutch Senior Karate Open - 12-14th March 2010 - Rotterdam Holland

Perry dee is competing against some of the top fighters in th World at the Dutch Open in the lightweight division. The Dutch Open is part of the Golden League and will be fighting for this proestgious title that is one of the most coveted OPEN tiles on the International circuit and one Sensei Paul has competed in twice before.

Perry Dee is selected for England Senior Karate Team to compete at the Paris Open, Paris January 17/18th 2010

Perry Dee was selected by National Karate Coach Wayne Otto OBE to compete in the Men's Lightweight division at the prestigious 'Paris Open'. Perry will be competing in his first men's event for his country.

Perry Dee Wins Irish Open - October 2009

Perry Dee rounded up a great return to his competitive career with a win at the Irish Open in Ireland. The Irish Open is part of the Euro Grand Prix. Perry was fighting in the U21 Lightweight division. Perry is in the top two ranked at Lightweight in England and just narrowly missed his 1st England cap after final selections for the EKF U21 European Championships.
