Self DefenceSELF-DEFENCE PROGRAMME AND CLASSESWe run courses in Self-Defence for groups, schools and individuals with no prior Martial Arts experience.
FSK Self Defence for Schools Half day programme offered – 3 hours. Add another dimension to your school curriculum, especially good for Sixth Form Enrichment Programmes. Pupils learn basic skills that they can REMEMBER and PRACTICE easily. The aim of the course is to increase the awareness to pupils that in a time of attack or threat that there are a number of things they can do to try and help themselves. The course involves a great deal of scenario work from the instructors and also scenarios that pupils come up with or may have come across. All equipment is provided. A sports hall is preferable for the workshop. Pupils should wear tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt. Main outline of the course: · Introduction with discussion on self defence and the law. · Instruction of basic techniques. · Practicing the basic techniques. · Scenario work with discussion. · Dealing with multiple attackers. · Knife attacks. · Summary and close. This is a tried and tested programme – Battle Abbey School found the course so good that Self Defence now forms a fundamental part of their enrichment programme enabling all Sixth Form students to take a full six week course on a rolling programme over two years.
